Thomas Wilford of the 1600's
"Wilford, Thomas, was the second son of a knight who had been killed while fighting for King Charles. He was burgess for Northumberland county in 1651, acquired the Indian language and served as interpreter. IN 1676 he joined with Bacon and was captured and executed. He is described 'as a small man with a great heart.'"
