Mr. Wright hasconfused the name of Martha Wilson and Capt. Stephen Alexander with another man named Stephen Alexander born 1768 who married Isabella Shelby 22 Nov 1797 Mecklenburg Co. NC.This man was the son of James and Rachel Alexander and was born in 1768.
Rev. Nicholson Ross Morgan wrote in 1875 that when Zaccheus Wilson, the Signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration left Cabarrus County NC in 1796 taking his two sons John and Jonathan, he left behaid his two sisters, the wife of Robert Harris and the wife of Capt. Stephen Alexander.
