Charles, Here is what I have on this family and it came from reseach done by John V. Kirby. As to your ancestors I will list it as I have it but I can't say that I have verified this only as to what Kirby sent to our family that he had done this reseach. I. John Herbert (Johann Harbard) Winegardner arrived Sept.15, 1752 on the ship named "Two Brothers" at the Port Of Philadelphia. The ship sailed from Rotterdam commanded by Thomas Arnot. The passenger list also included the name of Conrad Winegardner who possibly was a brother of Harbert's. Conrad was living in Frederick County Maryland in 1790 as shown by the cenus records. Nothing is know of Herbert from the time he landed in Philadelphia on 1752 to the year 1779 when he died in Loudoun County, VA. His will was dated Sept.9, 1779 and is found in Will Book B, page 308 in the Courthouse at Leesburg, VA. Nothing is known of Harbard's wife. Since she is not mentioned in the Will it is probale that she died sometime before. Children: A. Henry Winegardner. Born 1742 probably in Germany.d.1835 Married Alese (Alice) Handley. B.1752 d.March 27, 1847. Both are burried in Poplar Porks cemetery,Gratiot, Ohio. Henry was a taxpayer in Loudoun Co. VA from 1782-1785 and came into Ohio about 1814 with his family. B.Charity Winegardner. m.Antony Houghman. Family unknown C. Mary Winegardner m. Henry Barb, son of Jacob Barb who also came on the ship "Two Brothers". Jacob was born 1718 in Germany and died 1819 in Shenanoah Co. VA. D. Herbert Winegardner Jr. b.1758 in VA. d. Dec.12,1830 in Fairfield Co. Ohio. m.Elizabeth Barb, daughter of Jacob Barb who also came on the ship "Two Brothers". Elizabeth born 1764 and died Aug.10,1826. Herbert and Elizabeth and most of their children are buried in the Winegardner Cemetery about 3 miles northeast of Rushville, OH. Herbert served in the Revolutionary War. He was on the tax rolls in Fairfield Co. OH about 1806 and purchased land near Rushville. They had 12 children and I have their names. This is all I have on your Mary and her parents and siblings. I do have more details on her brother Henry Winegardner this is where my family desends from. If you want that I will have to find a way to scan the info or copy it and send by snail mail.
