I may be able to help you. As you may know three Winkler males came to the Port of Philadelphia from Rotterdam in Sept 1752. They are Hans Domas [Thomas], Hans Jacob and Conrad. They all end up in Burke County, NC.They also all name children the same so there are more Thoms's and more Jacobs and more Conrads.I have spent years trying to straightened them out.I do have a n idea because I have commissioned searches of the Tax List and have gotten a pretty good idea who belongs to who. I only find Benjamin listed one time.He is in Capt Conley's Company. Her pays for one white poll and no black poll. He has no land. He is in the same list as Thomas, Conrad, Abraham and Joseph Winkler Jr. They are listed as being next to each other and are down two places from Joseph Winkler. This makes me think that all of the guys are the sons of Joseph Winkler.
