Hi Nathan; Here is what I have on the Indian blood. My grand mother told me that she was part Indian in 1956.

Tenn. I was born and raised in Marion Co, Tenn. I was never enrolled. I claim through my mother my Indian blood. My mother's name was Jane Keith or Keef. She was raised in Cherokee Co, Tenn. My mother never enrolled. I never heard her say why she was not enrolled. Her maiden name was Winnit. My mother Betsy (Jane) Keef, claimed through her mother, Betsy Keef. My grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. My mother was a half-breed. My mother and my grandmother visited the Indians and were visited by them. I never heard about my grandmother being enrolled. My mother and grandmother were recognized as being white. None of us were ever slaves. Ther is no other relative to my knoledge who could give additional information.

That is I have on that except that my grandmother and her sisters all looked like Indians.
