Using dna to find lost people

I went to local meeting of our genealogy club and they
gave a how to find people with your dna. There is a site
to go to familytreedna.com . You order a test for 12,24,
37 marker kit. When it arrives you use swabs one side of
your mouth then the other. And then mail it back to the
firm and 6 wks. they send a list of people who have the
same markers or close to it. The test for 12 marker kit
99.00 but,if they find someone it done complete privacy.
So if want talk to someone they both of you have to agree
to be contacted. So if you can't find someone and keep
running into that brickwall this is something to checkout.
