You may not actually find any information in Wakefield itself. The Woodhead family I have is actually from Warmfield, Yorkshire.Warmfield was later adopted into Wakefield, so the records may remain in Warmfield.I have a Dorothy Woodhead as a part of my family line, (she was my great-great-great-great-great grandmother).Dorothy was born in Warmfield in 1777, married to Christopher Hesselgrave on Feb 2, 1795 and died in Warmfield on Dec 26, 1837 at the ripe old age of 60.
I'm guessing that they are apart of that family.Dorothy is the only Woodhead I have at present, however since my family is still in the Leeds area, I have a cousin who is willing to do a bit of research for me at the Leeds Library which has all of the old census records in it...we just spoke today actually and he mentioned this to me.So I think I would start redirecting your searches to Warmfield churches and records as opposed to Wakefield.
If I can be of any assistance, please let me know.
