You and I both know that he and Wiley must be brothers. At least 1st cousins. I suspect Thomas fits in there too.
Meanwhile, I decided to sift through the "Alabama Records" in the library. You know, those volumes that resemble someone's "Term Paper" bound in a folder that sit in a cardboard holder in sets of 10-12? Yeah, those. Well Looking in the "index" for Tuscaloosa Co, AL, I sifted through perhaps 35 volumes and did come up with the following under "deeds":
"Woodiel, John of Walker County, Alabama to Joseph Narramore of same. 11 February, 1837. Book N page 170. 40.12 acres in Tuscaloosa County. Robert P. Hopkins, Clerk of Walker County. Absolom Reid, J.P. for Walker County."
Now this guy is most likely NOT the above John. However when many of my aunts pronounced "Wooddell", it sounded more like "Woodiel" So, I think we are getting CLOSE!
