It appears all history is written by the winners. The Indian side of history has never been written.
Wounded Knee was just an example, Andrew Jackson and Custer who are thought of today as great men were nothing more thaa a bunch of murderer's.They weren't happy with just killing off the buffalo so the people would starve, they put a bounty on them just like coyotes. The people that had been here huindreds of years before the invasion by the white man is the most unjust thing that has ever happened in this country.
Nothing will ever be as bad.
I talk from experience. I was called a blankets in school because I looked different, then along came words like breed. The people are still treated like second class or even worse than the black man. Do we have a day to celebrate our heirtage NO.The men who drove the American Indians out of the South to Oklahoma on the trail of tears were savages, heathens and no Hero. They were a bunch of cowards looking for more land to take and they did. That wasn't even good enough, then they opened Oklahoma to the whites. Stuck the people on reservations, killed them if they tried to leave.
No History book will ever tell the truth of Anetlope Hill, Wounded Knee or Bexar. They were written by palefaces.
