Peter and Wilhelmina Winter Wulf-Hamburg
My father-in-law was Wihelm August Wulf b. Hamburg,Ger. in 1880's d. New orleans, La. 1975. His parents were Peter who was the Hamburg city mason (built and maintained roads, built the stone statue of Bismark in St. Pauli) and Wilhelmina Winter-Wulf both of Hamburg or the surrounds.Wilhelmina's family lived in a castle near Hamburg, I think, and my father-in-law spoke of visiting there. The Wulf family roots are in Neugraben and Neuenfelder across the Elbe River from Hamburg.
My Wilhelm and his 2 brothers were seamen and became naturalized citizens of the U.S. in the early 1930's. His brothers were killed during the WWII when their ships were sunk be German U-boats. Their names were Paul, a chief engineer, and Karl, ship's captain.
Wilhelmina and one of her daughters, Augusta, moved to NYC after she and Peter divorced.
Would like to know if any one has found info on this line of Wulf.
