Can someone help me find info on my gg grandparents James and Elizabeth (Robison) Thrasher? I found them in the Hampshire Co., VA town of Frankfort 1860 census but have been unable to get further back.
James was born abt. 1830, died abt. 1868. Elizabeth was born abt. 1835, date of death unknown.
Elizabeth appears in an 1880 census, remarried (11/03/1870) and with children to John Waxler.
Looking for death details/record and date of death for James Thrasher (dead at age 38).
Also, 1870 census record with Elizabeth (Robison) Thrasher and children listed. Elizabeth would have been widowed, possibly not yet remarried to John Waxler.
Where can I go to look for old records that might contain more info about them?
