Hi Folks,
I am looking for someone that has an old USGS Topographical map of Oldtown / MD. sector to borrow or copy. I just ordered 1 but it was done in the 1900's. I know from an old index that there was a map survey of that area made in the 1950's and probably some in between. My interest is in the tiny town of Okonoko just across the river in WV. I am going to photo the remaining houses there this winter and want to locate the structures on my current map and compare to old maps to see what was torn down. Please check your map collections and ask friends and relatives. Thanks so much for your help in preserving this area history.
