I have my answers now, and am almost as perplexed as before. Leonard Moore was son of Buel Moore and Nancy Mullins. Buel was son of Sampson Moore of Martin Co., KY. Leonard was married to Alva Mullins, d/o Henry Mullins and Arminta Newberry.

OK, is it coincidnece that Leonard came to Dickenson Co., VA from Martin Co., KY to find a bride, or was he possibly visiting cousins there when he met Alva and married her?
