I am looking for information on William A. Johnson b March 1858 and d after 1930. I believe he married Mary Mounts b Sep 1857 and d after 1930.
William and Mary are in the 1880 Census in Magnolia, Logan County, West Virginia. He is 22 and she is 20.
In 1900, they are in Stafford, Mingo County, West Virginia with their children: R.B.H. (Rutherford Bernard Hayes) Johnson, age 20, Geo W. aged 18, Ava aged 14, Sadie B. aged 11, Wayne C. aged 9, Wm. M. aged 7, Lennie R. aged 10/12.
In 1910, William and Mary are in Guyandotte, Cabell County, WV, Dist 15, Precint 23 with children:
Wayne 19, Lenna 10, Rosa 8. Their daughter-in-law, Anna aged 16 and their grandson, Earl, aged 2, are listed in the household as well as a single M aged 58 listed as brother-in-law, Lewis Mounce. I believe this is Lewis Mounts, son of Alexander Mounts. He is apparently the brother of Mary.
In 1920, William and Mary as listed in Trodelphia, Logan County, WV, Dist 34. They are there with their daughter, Rosey aged 17, and grandchildren, Earl aged 12 and Mable aged 10.
In 1930, William and Mary are found in Tridelphia, Logan County, WV, Dist 30, living alone.
My husband is connected through Rutherford B.H. Johnson. His son was Earl Lovell Johnson, the grandson listed in these census records. Earl's mother was Mary Long according to his social security records. His daughter, Mary, is my husband's grandmother.
