According to "The Raleigh Register" Beckley, WV. 14 June 1936, Jesse Blair, was acquited on this day of charges in connection with the fatal shooting of Hawkins Bishop. Carey Blair was sentenced to 18 years,for second degree murder, and was already in prison serving his time.
