PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Larry C. Bailey, 69, of Pecks Mill, departed this life Wednesday, October 4, 2007, at his residence.
Born June 4, 1938, at Logan, he was a son of the late Ardith and Elizabeth Inez White Bailey. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Jim Bailey.
Larry was retired from the Logan County Public Service District and served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Betty “Mickey” Bailey; one daughter, Jennifer (Ben) Bailey-Johnson of Nicholasville, Ky.; three sisters, Donetta (Stanley) Christian of Welch, Nina (Joe) Stehulak of East Lake, Ohio, and Sharon (Tom) Adams of Blackberry, Ky., and two brothers, Barry Bailey and Bill (Lois) Bailey, both of Pecks Mill.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 7, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Chafin and Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill with Military Graveside Rites.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and close friends.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made, in the memory of Larry Bailey, to the family at P.O. Box 16 Pecks Mill, WV 25547.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
