I am not related, but here is an obituary (apparently the gentleman is your step-grandfather) that may be of some help to you. Your grandmother RosaLee Hazel Shelton Poore may still be living.

WENTZ W. POORE

VALDESE - Mr. Wentz Wade Poore, 65, of Valdese, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at Valdese Hospital after a period of declining health.

Mr. Poore was born March 9, 1940, in Ervin, Tenn., to the late Charles and Rossie McKenzie Poore.

He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Poore worked for Duke Power Co. for 20 years before starting his own tree service business, which he retired from in 2001.

In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wade Poore; a daughter DONNA VERZONE; a brother, Steve Wayne Poore; and a sister, Pauline Treadway. Surviving are his wife, ROSALEE HAZEL SHELTON POORE of the home; nine sons, Keith Dewayne Poore, William Charles Poore, Steven Wade Poore, Mitchell J. Poore and Donald Eugene Poore, all of Flint, Michigan, Jess Wentz Poore, and Darrell Lee Poore, all of Valese and DENNIS D. DOTSON and DANNY D. DOTSON of Ohio, four daughters, DIANA HAYNES of Valdese, DEBORAH D. HITE and DARLENE ARCHER, both of Ohio, and DANITA DAWN TELLADO of Newton; three brothers, Oscar Pete Poore of Burnsville, Jess Willard Poore of Hildebran and Charles Stallard Poore of Rockwood, Tenn.; and three sisters, Ruby Frazier of Erwin, Tenn, and Joyce Ann Masters and Wanda Lee Poore, both of Rockwood, Tenn. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wade was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service for Wentz Wade Poore will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with his grandson, Steve Poore, officiating.

Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, in Red Hill Cemetery in Spruce Pine.

The Poore family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
