I need to find the name of Joseph Wade's wife.Joseph was born in 1753,Maryland,I believe.served in the Revolutionary War,he was killed in July of 1778,he and 17 others by Indians near Fort Statler,Blacksville Area.I found records in court documents in 1809 where his daughters went to court concerning 400 acres of land that was Josephs,and they were the heirs to it. I assume since he was only 25 at his death that his wife either remarried or may have died before him,however the daughter of my mother's line is Mary Wade and she was only a year old when he died.She was born in 1777 and married James Baker,also Monongalia Co.her sisters were Sophia Wade married Henry Armongash of Penelton Co. And Margaret Wade married Jacob Bird of Bath Co.Joseph was buried at what is now Price Memorial Cemetary Monongalia Virginia near Olive Church,I believe.But even there no mention of his wife,and as I understand it if she remarried anything Joseph had would have been his daughters only as heirs not to their mother.I need to find the name of his wife and hopefully the parents of both,I am at a stand still without them.Anything anyone can tell me would be greatly appreciated.
