Thank you so much for responding with this information. I was so hoping that someone could give me a clue as to who his parents/siblings were. I think I am getting closer but it is speculation at this point. I believe that at least one of his brothers was David Myers who appears on the 1840 census with him. And possibly John Jr and John Sr are also related. I also believe that the parents may have migrated from PA, maybe Greene County...that seems to be where a large number of my family came from.
