Ok, I have been researching this for a while. Ida would be my great grandmother. She was born 1891-1893, she died in 1980. Lived in Wayne County West Virginia. Also lived in Cabell County West Virginia, I believe. I am looking for her parents. Any information on the men she was married to would also be helpful.
I know she married or had children with a John Thompson, Charles Carter, and a James H Pemberton.
Her children are as follows:
Margaret Thompson: b. 1907, married Garland Thompson 1931, d. 1940, drown in the Ohio River. Father named as John Thompson on death certificate.
Henry Harrison Thompson: b. 1909-1910, married Virginia Carpenter, second wife Millie, died 1999.
My grandfather. Went by Harry.
Charles Thompson: b. 1912, married Ruth Adkins, died 1945 due to a stab wound recieved from Ruth during an argument. Father named as Charles Carter on death certificate.
John Pemberton b. 1914 possibly married Sara Rogers in 1938.
Goldie (Golda)Pemberton b. 1918
Ethil Pemberton b. 1922
Dick Pemberton b. 1924
Ellen Pemberton b. 1926, possibly married Lester Ward in
1951
Isom Pemberton b. 1929
I would greatly aprreciate any info on Ida. She is a mystery to us all, and we would like to know more about her. Thank you for your help.
