Sometime around the 1814s or so my grandmother “Sarah” married a man by the last name of Lindley, in (West) Virginia, I think. People did move around some back then.
I found her as a widow marrying my grandfather, Benjamin Johnston in Ohio County, (West) Virginia, November 4, 1824. I am not sure if any children came into this marriage from either side.
Benjamin passed and so did one child (a son) around 1840, still in Ohio County, (West) Virginia.
Sarah went on to raise her daughters and after the death of one daughter (my grandmother) to raise those grandchildren.
This has been a brick wall now for going on 39 years, any help to move beyond would be greatly appreciated.
