Hi Marsha
Have you tried the West Virginia Division of Culture and History site at http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx ? They have death certificates listed for Mingo county for 1914 and 1917 thru 1955.
What names are you searching for ? There's several family trees for south western WV that might already have the info you seek and maybe even help you break a brick wall or two.
