From The Lincoln (Nebraska) Daily News, 14 August 1912

Bluefields, Wva, August 14 - James Dawson, a United states trooper, who murdered Kenneth Barrett and his wife, and mortally woulded his own sister, Daisy Dawson, at Vulcan, near here, is in danger of being lynched by an angry mob, which since yesterday afternoon has surrounded the temporary jail. Dawson is being guarded by a strong force of deputies until state troops arrive to escort him to safe quarters. A baby born within an hour after Mrs. Barrett was shot, was pierced by the same bullet that killed his mother.

Good luck in your search!
