I am a local researcher and genealogist. The maiden name of Martha Thompson was Copley. She was a daughter of W.B. Copley and Sarah Ward. I am not releated to any of these people in your line. I am just familiar with these families in Wayne, Mingo,& Logan Counties of WV., and Martin, Pike, Floyd, Lawrence, and Boyd Counties in Ky. I will try to send you this line when I have some free time. The Ward Book by Billie Edyth Ward has a lot of information that should be of interest to you. Although this book is out of print, you can locate a copy of it in many genealogical libraries
