The following is information I have on James Cochran. I got this from an on-line family tree and I didn't write down any information to verify the authenticity of the information. That's not to say the author didn't verify his information but just that I didn't write it down. Sorry. Anyway, James Cochran is in my direct line. He was married to Nancy Hannah but my dates don't match your dates so I'm not sure if this is the James Cochran you're looking for. James Cochran born 1790 in Pocahontas Co, VA. Married to Nancy Hannah, born 1800 in Pocahontas Co. Daughter Jane born about 16 Sept 1818 in Pocahontas Co and died 31 July 1897, Pocahontas Co. Jane was married 31 Aug 1837 Greenbrier Co. WV (VA) to Valentine White Bird (Byrd), born 16 March 1812. My James was the son of Thomas Cochran, born about 1761 in Ireland and Eleanor Nellie James, born about 1765 in Pocahontas County. Again, I can't verify this information but I do know that Jane Cochran & Valentine Byrd were my ggg grandparents. Hope this helps
