Thanks for all the help in linking Charles Spurgeon Shaffer to Flora Ellen Sartin, their daughter-Wynona Marie. Charles Spurgeon Shaffer(born 10/30/1878) operated two pharmacies in Webster County, Camden-on-Gauley and Cowen. He was listed in the 1910 Census as a Confectionist. He had at least one son, Lemuel, by a Nancy (sp) born on 9/14/1908 died 10/1968. Robert Limrow Sartin and his wife, Asenath Jane (Nesselrotte) had Wynona Marie placed in an orphanage until finally they adopted her. She was kept estranged from her mother Flora Ellen Sartin.
