Looking for additional information on Theodore abt 1846 and Isaac Staats b. about 1849, brothers.
Born to Elijah Staats and Elizabeth Ray. Their father died Feb 1850 and his mother remarried Eli Hall, after Eli's death she married Richard Arnold.
I have Theodore and Isaac with their mother on the 1850 census and with their mother and stepfather on the 1860 census. After that I lose track of Theodore.
I did find a Theadore[sic] Staats on ancestry in the Civil War Reports
Union Infantry Private
Co. I -11th Regiment, West Virginia Infantry
However I have been unsuccessful in determining if this the right Theadore Staats and if he was killed during the Civil War.
From censuses I believe his brother, Isaac, married twice, first Martha by 1870 and second Nancy by 1900. He lived in Wood and Wirt. The last I have him is on the 1910 Census in Parkersburg Wood Co., WV.
I have the following children for Isaac and his first wife Martha
Elizabeth S. Staats b. abt 1872
Robert W. Staats b. abt 1877
Wm. R. Staats b. abt 1884
Missouri K. Staats b. abt 1888
By 1900 he had remarried Nancy Steven [maiden name unknown]. They had one son
Samuel I Staats b. abt. 1894
Nancy had three children from a previous marriage
John M. Steven b. abt 1885
Penelopha Steven b. 1887 who married Richard Davis
Charles A. Steven b. abt 1889
If anyone can help add information for Theodore and/or Isaac it would be greatly appreciate.
