Hello Roger,
Thanks for in the information. the headstone is inscribed as I wrote it. Guess they may have got it wrong, who knows?
I'll be going to the archives in the next couple of weeks for research on Uncle Bill. My father said Uncle Bill lied about his age and signed up. He was only 16. He talked about his experiences one time when my father was a young boy and he was crying on his mother's lap. He saw too much for a young man, as many others did. Will let you know what I find. Thank you again.
