According to Order of Battle of US Land Forces in the World War - Divisions, After orgainizing draftees and initial training at Camp Sherman the regiment sailed for France in th later part of June 1918. 26 Sept - Nov 11 317th Engr Regt was detatched from the Division and placed in Reserve with I (first) Corps of US 1st Army. Along with 183rd Inf Brigade of 92nd Div was engaged in repairing roads in the Meuse-Argonne Sector while that battle was underway. I hope this answers your question.
