im trying to find more information on my g grandfather William Herbert Treadwell born 1889 (dont know where) All i have to go on is his marriage certificate.
He married an Edith Cooper on May 24th 1915 in Leicester, his profession is given as a gardener now a soldier and his residence at time of marriage was Old St. Marys, Luton. His father was a Herbert Treadwell Labourer.
I'm assuming that this means he was an enlisted serviceman, can any one point me in the right direction as to where to start looking for any info.
