This is the World War One (WWI) message board 1914 to 1918 with the United States entry 1917. You need to post your message on the World War Two (WWII) message board 1939 to 1945 with the U.S. entry Dec 1941. It would be helpful if you also post want country he was born, was he in the service and for what country, a Merchant Marine or a passenger at the time of being lost. Goggle search "Ships sunk in 1941".
