Thank you for reading my message and yes, I do know that a draft card doesn't mean the man went into the service. In fact, I think I said that I wasn't sure he had even gone to war.
My main question was/is --- if a man went to war and was killed --- where would his death record be filed? In his home town? In the place where he was killed? In Washington, DC?
