Hi David
I have just posted a reply on the Brighton Site although it will have to be cleared before they show it.
I checked out what you were looking for and found that Chailey 1914-1916 had a soldier from the East Surrey regiment,with lots of other information and photo's.I dont know if the clothes your Grandfather was wearing in the photo was uniform,there are guys wearing the same in one of the photos on Chailey site.
