Hi Elaine
You have been so helpful already -- may I impose on you for a bit of information?
I'm pretty sure I can do this myself when I get to the library again. (they have Ancestry on line and you can use it for an hour at a time) But I'm unsure as to how to go about it as I've never tried it before.
You found Edmund Flynn on a passengar list so would you please give me an idea as to how or what I would do to find another of my relatives?
I can find no record of his marriage so wonder if he might have traveled to Ireland, married and brought her back here.
He was still living with his parents on the 1880 census but I found a child born to him and his wife (and boy, it has taken me three years to finally find her maiden name listed on his death record. finding that record wasn't easy) in 1883.
So ---- figuring that he married between 1880 and 1883 I don't want to waste my time or anyone elses looking for the marriage record if he married out of the country.
Would you suggest that I go to NY pass lists - put in 1880? Then if nothing, try 1881? - 82? Or maybe try the Boston pass lists?
Thanks for any ideas you can pass along. Lily
