My Grandfather, John Henry Kerr, was in the 166th Depot Brigade in Camp Lewis WA and was in from 1 June 1918 to 12 Dec 1918. An uncle told me once that grandpa was involved in helping to build the camp. As an aside--when the war started out, grandpa tried to join and was denied because he had an eye issue. He then went to the oil fields and got a decent job and, guess what! All of a sudden the Army needed him. He passed that physical.
