WORLD WAR AEF - Divisions

Yhe following summary:
[Aug 18, 156th FA Brig and 306th Am Tn arrive at Le Valdahon and the vicinity for training]

156th FA Brig and 306th Am Tn at Le Valdahon, Aug 1 - Nov 11, 1916; in Department of Haute-Marx, Nov 11-29, 1918.

156th FA Brig (Less 316th FA) and 306th Am Tn -In Department of Cote-d’Or, Nov 29 - Dec 3,1918.

316th FA - in Department of Haute-Man& Nov 29,1918-May 15,1919.

Apparently from the above, the Artillery units of the 81st Div were not in active battle.

Aug 16, Div (less Arty) moves to the 16th (Tonnerre) Training Area for training.

[Sept l8-Nov 1, Div is under the administrative control of
the VII Corps.]
Sept 18-Oct 1, Div (less Arty) participates with the French in the occupation of the St-Die Sector (Lorraine).

Oct 2-19, Div (less Arty) occupies the St-Die Sector (Lor-
raine.

Nov 2-11, Div (less Arty) participates in the Meuse-Argonne
Operation. Nov 5, Div begins the relief of the 35th Div, except 60th FA Brig and 110th Am Tn,
