In reference to Simmons note the service number 34925558 should be used for both ABMC Burial and his military records.

He is buried in Epinal - Ardennes Cemetery with death date of Novenmber 44 which would indicate that he may have been killed during the Ardennes Battle that preceded the Battle of the Bulge. Check for history of 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Division as to where they were fighting at the time of his death.

From the regimental website listed below you may be abel to get some help concerning his death, It would show up in the 3rd Division, 7th Infantry regiment morning report and after action report
