Francis E. Mann, 16th Infantry, First Division

I am looking for any information on the WWI exploits of Frances E. Mann. Frank was born in 1879 in Elgin, IL and joined the Army around 1910 when he was 30 years old. The cemetery in Long Island where he is buried said they had little except that he may have served in G Company of the 16th Infantry, First Division. Which makes sense because he settled in Brooklyn after the war (the First Division was stationed at Ft. Hamilton and Ft. Jay after the war, both places in Brooklyn) Frank separated from the Army on 9/25/1930 with the rank of Sergeant. I have sent for his military records but they're finding it hard to find anything after the fire of 1973. All of my info comes from the Long Island National Cemetery. Nice folks. Any information or advice is greatly appreciated.
