320th Service Batallion in France

I am trying to find a bit of info on the areas where my grandfather was stationed during the war. I know he was in France but that's about all.
Can anyone tell me what this Batallion did and where they went? There was another groups of letters I think they were AEF attached to the service Batallion name.
I have one of his medals for his time in France and discharge papers but nothing that tells me locations etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gail
