You didn't state your relative's name, but perhaps he was a McCabe or Clerkin from County Monaghan, as described in your other forum messages? A deceased Canadian soldier's name may appear in a search on this very helpful web site: "Commonwealth War Graves Commission" -- www.cwgc.org/ The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is a non-profit-making organisation established by Royal Charter in 1917. It pays tribute to the 1,700,000 men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the two world wars. Also check out the excellent Canadian military sources listed on the Olive Tree site -- www.olivetreegenealogy.com/mil/can/ww1/ Included are links to the "Canadian Great War Homepage," and the "Canadian Expeditionary Force database" at the National Archives of Canada (a searchable index of all individuals who served in World War I in Canada). Good luck with your search, Annie C. Notify Administrator about this message?
