Company B,62nd Engineers
Posted by: Tommy Stephenson (ID *****9001) Date: September 21, 2011 at 22:57:41

Can someone tell me about the 62nd Engineers in WWI? Did the 62nd Engineers belong to a larger unit such as a Regiment or Division? My Jessie Lee Stephenson was a supply Sergeant with the 62nd Engineers. I only know this from two letters that he had. One letter claimed he was with the A.E.F. Railway Service. The other letter mentioned he was with the 62nd engineers. Being with the Railway Service would make since as he filled out a draft registration in Carter Co,Oklahoma in 1917,giving his age as 25 and his occupation as Railroad Conductor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
