Unfortunately I don't where he would have lived, and it looks like the only VA Home in that city was founded after his death. I've tried contacting the Dept of Veteran Affairs, and they directed me to the NARA website, which hasn't been much help at all. It seems like everyone keeps directing me back to the NARA website. His grave shows that he was a veteran, but he wasn't buried in veteran cemetery.
