156th Depot Brigade
Posted by: Leonard Lanier (ID *****9785) Date: July 04, 2012 at 19:06:33

Trying to find more information about the 156th Depot Brigade. I understand they spent time at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, but know little beyond that point. Apparently, the brigade never served overseas. I really want to find out if they were specially attached to Fort Jackson or part of another division preparing to deploy to Europe, but the war ended before their arrival.
