Hi, By no means am I an expert. This is just my thought about the men you have contacted not knowing your father.
My guess is that Company K was divided into maybe several platoons and each of those had their own First Sgt. My other guess is that the platoons didn't worked together as one would think. I say this because my uncle was in an Antiaircraft Battalion that had 5 Batteries and each Battery had at least 2 platoons. Again, just my guess that the men you contacted were not in your father's particular "group" of how Company K was divided.

You might want to post on this site below for the 94th ID. Maybe someone there can explain why your father wouldn't be known.
