Mr. Johnson:

Thank you for your note to me today and your suggestions of why I am not able to obtain more information about what unit(s) my father served in during WWII. You asked a few questions in your note, so in this note I will attempt to answer them for you:

You asked "Where did I get the list of men who were in Co K, 302D Infantry?" I obtained this list from a Mr. Harry Helms who responded to a message I posted on the 94th Infantry web site. He mailed me the unit roster and suggested that I may want to write the men in reference to my father serving in their unit. I have sent out many, many letters to the men on the list, some have been returned undeliverable, but then some men or their wives have taken the time to write just to say that they do not remember my father.

"What is listed in the section entitled Battles and Campaigns" on my father's discharge paper?? Rhineland, Central Europe.

Any other information you or anyone else could provide me in my search would be very much appreciated.
