Headstone details

Helping a lady research her family. I found the following headstone records:

Rogosz, Henry S. Michigan pfc 902 AAA AW BN CAC WWII

On the same stone;

Rogosz, Edward B. Michigan SI US NAVY WWII

Both died in 1958.

1. What do all the numbers and letters following pfc mean?

2. Is the SI for Edward probably S1, for Seaman 1st Class?

3. I checked the online National Archives, but neither has a record; why would their info be missing? Where do I find where they served?

TNX
