I'm trying to find the family of 1 Lt. Gene E. Canova, ASN: O-524959, 61st Squadron, 314th Troop Carrier Group. 1 Lt. Gene E. Canova was KIA on March 24, 1945.
1 Lt. Canova entered the service from Bowman Field, Louisville, KY on June 1, 1942. At that time he lived in Lucas Co. OH. He was a native of Florida (born in 1916).
1 Lt. Canova's father Leroy E. Canova was still living in Florida at the time his son died. I have an old address in Jacksonville, Duval Co.
1 Lt. Canova is buried at the Netherlands American Cemetery and his grave is adopted. The adoptive family would like to get in touch with the Canova family.
