Hi Gary, I'm just a novice researcher. I went to the NARA site (Army info only I believe) and was unable to find a Thomas M. Rouse that was born in 1913 and from Louisiana. There was one Thomas M. Rouse listed but birth year was stated as 1920 and from a different state. And the Thomas Rouse's listed without middle initials weren't born in 1913 either. But here is the website for you to poke around on.

Did Mr. Rouse receive VA benefits or have a military burial? If so, write to the VA regional office where he last received benefits and see if they can help you. Also, if he did have a military burial, contact the Sexton of the Cemetery and the funeral home as they may have some information about him....hopefully his serial number. Or if he was a member of the VFW, they may have information.

Hope this leads to something for you.
