Thank you Janice, My dads name was William John Smyth and the Smyth was his adopted name, but i know his real family name was Tourish, while clearing my mums house out i found a poem about Alexander Tourish who was killed on the 23rd of May 1941 at Flanders, he must be connected to my dad as they where both born in Castlederg Northern Ireland, My dad would of been born on the 10 March 1926 and going by the age of Alexander Tourish at his time of death 20 years old in 1941 he would of been born in 1921, once again thank you for your help.
Gordon.
