June 6, 1944 was the date of the Normandy invasion , commonly referred to as D-Day. May all the brave souls that died on those beaches that day R.I.P. in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

May they be in good company with all those brave souls that died on the beaches in those other D-Days in the Pacific. Starting with Guadalcanal in Aug. 1942, and occuring on average of every 4 - 5 months for the next three years.
